New Look for NAFA Labels
NAFA has redesigned its family of quality labels to perfectly mirror the labels of our designer partners internationally. Minimal and elegant the new NAFA labels are very much a part of todays fashion world.
Our new labels will be introduced to the trade during the 2009 auction season. Most consumers will not see them in stores much before 2010 as this years fur pelts work their way through the many processes necessary to create next years fashion statements. During the next two years consumers can expect to find both our traditional and new labels in leading retail boutiques around the world.
Luxury label counterfeiting is a concern to consumers who want to assure themselves of the authenticity of the labels used. Both NAFA's new and traditional labels have integrated a special security fiber, which is woven into the label itself. Access to this material is very regulated and is being used by the finest brand names to reassure consumers and retailers that only authentic labels are being used. This unique fiber can be easily seen with the use of a small portable black light and reputable retailers will be pleased to demonstrate this feature.
The Black NAFA label is awarded to only the very best North American Black Mink. This rare type of mink with its naturally short, velvet like nap and its deep rich color, has come to define the ultimate in luxury and sensuality. No wonder it is the preferred fur of designers everywhere.
Experts have long prized the short guard hair covering the deep, dense under wool that is the major characteristic of North American mink. The highest quality grade for colors other than Black NAFA, NAFA Gold Mink creates a silky, lightweight and extremely warm garment. Notable colors include Blue Iris, Sapphire, White, Pearl, Violet, Mahogany, Pastel and Demi Buff.
NAFA Gold Fox is the ranched fox quality equivalent of NAFA Gold Mink. As in mink there are many natural Fox colors but certainly NAFA is best known for its collection of dramatic NAFA Silver Fox. Our fox is unique in the world for its shorter nap, deep under wool and silky texture.
North America provides the world with an abundance of non-endangered wild fur. From long-haired Red Fox and coyote to precious Lynx, Lynx Cat, Can/AM Sable and Fisher to the sleek muskrat, otter and beaver, only NAFA Northern offers designers the full spectrum of natural colors and textures to experiment with nature's own diverse palette.
Developed voluntarily, the new Origin Assured™ (OA) label gives consumers confidence about the provenance of the fur they are buying. It is an assurance that the fur comes from a country where national or local regulations or standards governing fur production are in force. It is also a reflection of the fur trade's commitment to openness and honesty with their customers.
Designers around the globe bring luxury into the home by using the full spectrum of ranch and wild fur in innovative and exciting ways.
The NAFA Accessory label represents NAFA ranch and wild fur products used in the creation of fashionable fur accessories. This can include everything from hats, earmuffs, scarves, handbags, boots, gloves, vests to shrugs and even leggings!
